The Kunming Medical University Alumni-Bangladesh Chapter was formally created in a historic online meeting on Friday night, ushering in a new era of cooperation and support for Bangladeshi students in KMU and Kunming Medical University alumni. The announcement was made during a virtual gathering when an energetic committee of 12 committed individuals was formed.

Dr. Ariful Haque and Dr. Miftahul Mithu, both outstanding graduates of Kunming Medical University, are leading the effort as Chief Convener and Co-Chief Convener of the newly established chapter. The committee will have a two-year tenure and be charged with fostering alumni and institution engagement to benefit Bangladeshi medical students. It was established during the online conference with the approval of Kunming Medical University.

The founding of this chapter represents a significant turning point for Kunming Medical University graduates, encouraging a feeling of community and camaraderie among graduates who are now making a difference in Bangladesh's healthcare system.

The chapter's newly appointed Chief Convener, Dr. Ariful Haque, showed his excitement for the project.

Co-Chief Convener Dr. Miftahul Mithu said, "We are committed to harnessing the collective power of our alumni to create opportunities and support systems that will benefit Bangladeshi students at Kunming Medical University throughout their academic journey and beyond."

In order to improve the prospects and experiences of Bangladeshi students pursuing medical education in China while also making a contribution to the improvement of healthcare in Bangladesh, the recently established Kunming Medical University Alumni-Bangladesh Chapter looks forward to a fruitful and transformative two years of service.
