On October 28, 2023, a fun sports event for Chinese and international students was successfully held. The event was jointly organized by the South Asian Research Institute of Sichuan University, the International Student Management Office of Sichuan University, and co-organized by the Graduate Association of the School of International Relations. It took place at the track and field of the Sports Center on the Wangjiang Campus of Sichuan University.

More than 80 international and Chinese students from countries such as Bangladesh, Egypt, Pakistan, India, Nepal, Indonesia, Cambodia, Vietnam, Yemen, Nigeria, and others gathered to participate in various exciting challenges. Professor Song Zhihui, Deputy Secretary and Vice President of the Party Branch of the School of International Relations and Deputy Director of the South Asian Research Institute, announced the start of the competition and encouraged students to actively participate with the spirit of 'friendship first, competition second.
