The outbreak of novel coronavirus (Covid-19) pneumonia affects in China. The situation of new coronavirus pneumonia concerns everyone. All levels of governments and departments have attached great significance to and taken a number of measures on the control and prevention of the pneumonia outbreak.

I am a PhD student of Central South University (CSU) and living in Changsha, China, since 2014. The university has taken it as the most important work at present in order to fully protect the wellbeing of all students. CSU expresses its deepest concern for all International students. According to the needs of epidemic prevention and control, they make several recommendations to international students staying on campus to fully protect the physical and mental health of students.

In order to solve the problem of meals for living on campus, University Starts distribute three meals for free (divided into halal and non-halal meals). International School Office also providing support to all students to buy daily necessaries inside of the campus.

CSU constant support 24/7 to all International students living in the dormitory. For everyone’s safety, students who still live in dorm are not allowed to go out to rent houses or live with friends. The Dormitory security is tightened, In case of emergency, before enter or exit from campus security person checking the temperature of students.

CSU began to implement the We Chat “Health Attendance”. All Students are required to submit daily health reports via an online platform Also, each day dormitory staffs are helping students to check their body temperature. For everyone’s safety and health.

Central South University already starts online courses for all students in order to avoid semester delay, so it will help students to graduate on time, complete their semester, providing through the online education system.

International Students expressed gratitude to - International Student, Accommodations Counsellor and Academic Counsellor for their constant care and support during this Coronavirus situation. In addition, International Students showing their gratefulness to the President of Central South University.

Finally, the outbreak of novel coronavirus pneumonia affects the hearts of millions of people. Chinese government is sparing every effort to fight against the epidemic and we believe, “the haze of the epidemic will finally dissipate”. We love China.
