BCYSA NEWS: According to the Shandong’s education authority in combination with the school epidemic prevention and control, the school will arrange students to return to school in batches from May 20, 2020. Additionally, Jinan Daily also confirms the same tentative date of students returning to school to resume classes one after another. The specific time and requirements for school return will be notified further by the university counselors in advance.

Following this notice, since yesterday (May 21, 2020) the University of Jinan, Jinan City, Shandong Province, China has been reopening it’s academic curriculum after four months of locked down amidst COVID-19. Student needs to apply before going back to school. The tutors and the College Party committee will review the application either it is necessary to return to school or not. The batch and schedule of students returning to school in the spring semester are as follows:

1.The first batch of graduate students (around 190 students) who needs to do important scientific research experiment will return to school after May 20, 2020 and leave after the completion of graduation.

2.The second batch, all doctoral students and second-year postgraduates (around 98 doctoral students and 613 second-year Postgraduates of science and Engineering) who need to participate in scientific research, they will return to school after June 1, 2020 and leave school before the start of summer vacation.

3.The third batch, graduate student volunteers (about 100 students selected), to do volunteering work will return to school after June 9, 2020 and leave after the completion of the graduation.

4.The fourth batch, other graduate students, and undergraduates (about 8000 people) who will return school from June 15 to July 15, 2020, about 300 people a day and leave school after graduation.

It is noted that, the students who have received the notice will return to the school within the specified time and do self-protection on the way back to school. Associated schools and departments should do all the preparations for students to return to school in advance, including potential responsibilities, ensure strict management and enthusiastic services that can ensure the students return to school in an orderly manner. On the other hand, non-graduating undergraduates and all the overseas students will not return to school momentarily, further notice will be published later regarding these issues.
