Education Management during Covid-19: How Chinese Universities Managing Education!!

Gazi Tawfiq Ezaz: The world is facing a critical time due to an outbreak of fatal COVID-19. From the beginning of 2020, people all around the world are fighting against COVID-19 but still, there’s no vaccine or prescribed medicine (especially only for COVID-19).
People are advised to ensure proper hygiene as well to keep social distancing/physical distance. In this regard, educational institutes were closed to protect the health of students as well as to avoid infections from COVID-19. Likewise, Chinese universities were closed since the past few months but study- related activities were not stopped in Chinese Universities.
So, how China and Chinese Universities are managing education and research during this hard-hitting time??
Well,
there is no wonder that China is one of the advanced countries regarding telecommunications
as well as using Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology. Although university,
school or other educational institutes are avoiding course works at the campus
but they keep conducting their course work via online. WeChat or QQ is a very
popular social platform in China, with the aid of these social platforms;
students can continue their study or research by staying at home.
Through Tencent meeting, large group students can attend online meeting or lectures. International School is giving relevant notices as well as guidelines for International students to assist their studies. Many students are out of China but still, they can attend classes even apply for graduation process via the online system.
Professors are guiding students through Wechat or
QQ groups. International School office personnel of Hohai University are
working hard in order to connect international students with University online
platforms.
Postgraduates students under supervision of Prof. Ke Zhang (http://landhydro.org/en/home/), College of Hydrology & Water Resources, Hohai University conducted their Pre-defense work via online meeting.
Similarly, many students are currently out of China but still continuing their academic lessons via online platforms. In my opinion, Chinese universities and Academician are very helpful; they are trying hard to provide essential guidelines to their students staying either inside or outside of China.
