The most memorable day in China with orphan kids
Abul Khair: Life is full of various events and experiences.
But all of these are not equally important, enjoyable, and memorable. All the
days in our life are not the same. Only some are memorable. Memorable days are
the funniest and happiest days of our life. However, memories are not just the
ones that make us feel like we are in heaven. Sometimes, it is unforgettable
because of the joy and fun that we got. Either good or bad, it will still be a
part of our life. It will remain in our minds forever, and everywhere we walk.
When we think about that day or memory, we feel very happy and want to smile,
or we become sad and want to cry. In my opinion, everyone has a special memory
that will never be forgotten.
I am going to share such a memorable day with you. I am Abul
Khair from Bangladesh. I came to China for higher studies. China is a beautiful
country. Technically, China is ahead of other countries. The people of this
country are friendly and helpful. I studied Civil Engineering at Southwest
Petroleum University. I was involved in different volunteer activities when I
was in my country; such as Blood donation, teaching street children, etc. My
passion is to serve people. There is no better service than service for the
human. Serving people is a moral responsibility for all of us. Every person
should serve the people. After coming to China, I wanted to be involved in
different volunteer activities. I wanted to serve people. I asked the counselor
of our department about the volunteer group at our University. He introduced me
to them and wanted me to take part in them. Then I agreed and joined with them.
Then we discussed with the Volunteer Officer to do something for the orphan
kids. One of my friend Nahid joined me because he also loves volunteer work. We
opened a WeChat group. Our Volunteer Officer gave us suggestions in that group
about our activities. Then he told us to do our activities on Saturday and
Sunday because we had no class on those days.
That day was Sunday; we decided to leave at 2 o’clock for
the welfare house. I was very excited because we took chocolate, fruits, toys,
balloons for the children. We went to the welfare house and chat with the kids.
We were about 20 people, including 2 Bangladeshi and 18 Chinese people. The
welfare house was away from our University. We went there by bus. I was very
shocked to see disabled children. We went to the third floor of the welfare
house. We saw many children there. They were very happy to see us. We gave them
chocolates, fruits. Then we listened to children’s rhyme, although I don’t
understand the Chinese Language. I hoped to learn the Chinese Language very
quickly. One of my friends asked me to teach the kids. Then we taught them
English letters. After that, we made balloon balls. We gave those balls to
everyone. We played with them for a long time. They were friendly and cheerful.
Many children came to the welfare house gate to see off when we came back. The
time spent with them will be memorable for me. We left the welfare house at 6
o’clock. We all took pictures in front of the welfare house before returning.
At last, I would like to say, children are the future
leaders of the nation. All of our responsibility is to make them eligible for
the next day. They should get a proper education so that they can be our good
leaders. And this is our responsibility.
