The rise of China is one of the most burning topics of the twentieth century. The economical and effective diplomatic relations of China with other countries have begun to change the current trends. For decades, China's rise has pushed China into one of the most influential powers in the current system.
According to The Guardian projections, China’s total GDP was below 300 million in 1980, but by 2020, China's GDP is more than 1.4 billion. China is now the second-largest economy in the world in terms of the market exchange rate. During 1980 figures, China's trade with the outside world was below 40 billion, but according to 2020 statistics, it has increased several hundred times and is now more than 4 trillion US dollars. Even during this Corona epidemic, when the current world trade system has largely stagnated, its remarkable rise has China has continued its astonishing rise in the economy.
There is a proverb in China, "If you want to be rich, you must build roads." Between 1996 and 2016, China built more than 2.6 million roads, connecting more than 95 percent of villages with 7,000 kilometers of highways. Over the past few decades, China has built the world's fastest and most advanced rail network. Its total area is more than 16,000 miles. China is currently building more than 12,000 miles of the high-speed rail network (GFP-Global Fire Power). Moreover, metro rail, subway, and public buses have been providing high-quality services in Chinese cities. According to the latest survey, China currently has 22 seaports and more, and the number of available airports is 507 (GFP-Gobal Fire Power).
China's health and education formulas have seen a rise in the quality of life of its people. In 1949, Chinese citizens' average life expectancy was 36 years, and the illiteracy rate was over 80 percent. Recently, in 2014 statistics, the average life expectancy of Chinese citizens is 76 years, and the literacy rate is over 95 percent. A generation ago, China was at the bottom of all international health, education, science, technology, and innovation indicators. Besides, according to the latest data from Stamford University, China is currently one of the top destinations in education, science, and technology innovation. So, in recent years, China has become the center of attraction for international students.
